Patricia A (Wager) Woods

Patricia A. (Wager) Woods, 83, of Braintree passed away at Care One Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Randolph on Saturday January 27, 2018. Patricia was born in Provincetown and raised in Charlestown where she graduated from Charlestown High School. She moved to Braintree in 1968 where she raised her family. Patricia was a long time employee of AT&T and then New England Telephone. She started her career as a directory assistance operator working her way up to a managerial position. She retired in 1991. Patricia was devoted to her family and spent her time babysitting her grandchildren so her children could work. She loved spontaneously jumping in her car and heading off to Foxwoods Casino to play poker and enjoy some bingo games. She was a collector of Unicorns. Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Thomas James Woods who passed away in June of 2017. She was the much loved mother of Thomas James Woods, Jr. of Braintree, Candice M. Podell married to Edward “Ned” Podell of Holbrook and Patricia A. O’Hare of Braintree. She was also the mother of the late George F. Woods who passed away in 2013. Patricia is the devoted and loving Grandmother of Nicole Woods of Braintree, Pamela Podell of Weymouth, Ted Podell of Holbrook and the late Jamie O’Hare. She is the Great Grandmother of Rae-Ann Rutherford of Braintree. Patricia is survived by one sister Brenda Packard of Middleboro. Visiting Hours for Patricia will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Wednesday January 31, 2018 from 4-7 PM. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Thursday February 1, 2018 at 9:30 AM to be followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, South Braintree at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree. Memorial Donations in Patricia’s memory may be sent to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, 34 Washington Street, #200, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481
