BRAINTREE - Mary E. (Sullivan) BOUDREAUX, age 93, of Braintree, MA, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Basil “John” Boudreaux, to whom she just celebrated 70 wonderful, loving years of marriage. Born in Boston, Mary was the daughter of the late George and Ethel (McElroy) Sullivan. Mary was a graduate of Boston Girls Latin and attended Boston University. She was an employee of the New England Telephone Company for 20 years as well as a long-time employee of R.H. Stearns. Mary was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas as well as a catechist at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in South Braintree and was a lunch mother for the children at St Francis of Assisi School for many years. Mary also was very active in the Notre Dame Academy Hingham community where she helped with Bingo and other fundraisers. Her elegant style and grace were exemplified in all that she did. Mary refused to miss any family events, rain or shine. She brought her warm and special touch to all and could not leave a store, doctor’s appointment or a room without sharing all her grandchildren’s many accomplishments. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by four daughters, Anne McCabe and her husband, Donald, of Braintree, Mary Ellen Boudreaux of Braintree, Sheila McKinley and her husband, John, of Braintree and Susan Kelly and her husband, James, of Acworth, GA; loving grandmother of nine grandchildren (Caitlin and her husband Ryan, Dayna and her fiancé, John, Alex and Alanna, John, and James, Sean, Isabella and Chloe). Mary could not have been more smitten by her great granddaughter, five-month old Josephine. Mary was the sister of Ellen Cahill and her husband, the late Thomas Cahill and the late Virginia Neill and her husband, the late Edward Kenneth Neill. She is also survived by her niece Judi Cahill and nephews Thomas Cahill and the late James Randall and Kenneth Neill. A funeral Mass will be held in her honor at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree MA 02184 on Friday, November 9, 2018, at 10:30am. Following the services Mary will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 245 North Street, Randolph, MA 02368. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8pm at Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree.
