BRAINTREE - Lorraine (Kent) Pagliaro of Braintree, MA went home to heaven on October 22, 2018. The loving wife of the late Victor Pagliaro, she is survived by her daughter Gina Pagnotta of Braintree, MA her son Robert Elloyan of Hanover, MA, her grandchildren Jennifer, Bobby, and Thomas, her step-grandchild Michael, and her step-children Michael, Christine, Mary, John, and Rob. Lorraine was a life-long caregiver. She began her career as a teenager, waitressing in Nantucket to help support her family, and worked for decades at the 99 restaurants in Boston. Ultimately she found her most rewarding work serving at the Pilgrim Center for boys as a cook, dietician, and mentor; it wasn’t uncommon for boys to eventually refer to her as mom. Her hospitality and caregiving weren’t limited to work settings. She was known for sympathy towards all those who were struggling or troubled; crossing the street to the cemetery when she saw someone who looked distraught, taking care of her husband through his illness, and even taking in lost animals who would become family pets. Visiting hours will be 4 to 8pm on Monday, October 29th at the Peck Funeral Home on Washington Street in Braintree. A Christian Funeral Service will be held at the Braintree Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St. Braintree, MA at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery at 11:15 AM. She will be greatly missed – and fondly remembered – by her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and countless friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to The Last Resort for Cats in Hanover, MA.
