Joseph L. Doyle, 85, of Braintree passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Joe was born in Boston and educated in Boston Schools. He was a Korean Army Veteran stationed in Germany. Joe moved to Braintree in 1963 and was employed by the D.J. Cutter Company of Dorchester as a Sheet Metal Engineer retiring in 1998. Joe was a communicant of the Church of Saint Clare in Braintree. He enjoyed Bowling with several bowling leagues including the Knights of Columbus league. Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus, #1462 of Braintree. Joe was the beloved husband of 56 years to the late Helen B. (Halley) Doyle who passed away in 2015. He is the loving father of William J. Doyle married to Cathleen of Weymouth and Jacqueline M. Tyner married to Frank of Holbrook. He is the proud grandfather of Joshua S. Doyle married to Elizabeth of Braintree, Steven J. Tyner married to Alexandra of Holbrook, Jennifer M. Doyle of Weymouth and Patrick W. Tyner of Holbrook. Joe is the brother of Charles P. Doyle of Millis and the late Paul C. Doyle, James T. Doyle, Edward F. Doyle, Lawrence A. Doyle and Grace A. Perfetti.  Visiting Hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Monday January 8, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Tuesday Morning, January 9th at 9:00am to be followed by a funeral Mass at the Church of Saint Clare, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree Highlands at 10:00am. Burial will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Memorial donations in Joe’s memory may be sent to Saint Jude’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142
