Braintree-   Janet M. (O’Neil) DiBona, 64, passed away at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth on Monday October 16, 2017 after a brief illness. Janet was born in Boston and spent most of her life in Braintree. She Graduated from Braintree High School with the Class of 1971. She went on to attend Curry College in Milton. Janet had been employed at the former Kemper Insurance Co. in North Quincy for many years. She had also worked for Cumberland Farms in Stoughton and Inston Corp. In their foreign export division. Janet was known for her devotion to her family, her generosity, her care for others and her sense of humor. Janet is the beloved wife of Philip A. DiBona and the devoted sister of Edward J. O’Neil of Stamford, CT, Kevin W, O’Neil M.D. of Sarasota, FL, John E. O’Neil of Tallahassee, FL and the late Joseph M. O’Neil formerly of Goshen, CT. She is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews. Janet was the cherished daughter of the late Edward W. and Madeline A. (Connolly) O’Neil. A funeral mass for Janet will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi Church 856 Washington Street (South Braintree Square) Braintree on Saturday October 21, 2017 at 12:30 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. Janet’s family requests that any one attending her Mass go directly to the church and not to the funeral home. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will follow the Mass at Braintree Cemetery. Memorial Donations in Janet’s memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are being handled by the Peck Funeral Home of Braintree.
