BRAINTREE- James Thomas Glover, II, June 26, 1929 – October 20, 2019 age 90, of Hoodsport, Washington; suffered from Alzheimer's disease; then passed away peacefully at his home in Hoodsport, WA. He entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, October 20, 2019, surrounded by family. He was born and raised in Boston, MA; graduated from Thayer Academy, Braintree, MA; was the state tennis champion until his graduation in 1949. He was also an accomplished jazz drummer, who studied under Gene Krupa. He joined the Airforce shortly thereafter; and was a pilot for 22 years, he earned his Master's Degree in Mathematics, using that knowledge, until his retirement, as Major, at the age of 40. He was also the State Skeet Shooting Champion, in the state of Arizona for the years 1982 and 1984. He was also a “Power-Lifter” Champion, top of this class, at the age of 60, in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada; where he resided with his wife. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Glover of 50 years, his daughters, Madeline J. Tina Glover of Weymouth, MA; and Nancy J. Glover-Denis of Marshfield, MA; his grandchildren, Chloe and Stephen Denis of Marshfield, MA; his step-son, Michael McCullough; and his wife, Lori Jean Smith Needham, of Hoodsport, WA; and dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private Military Memorial service in his honor, will be held in the future.
