James Lawrence Crowe

SOUTH BOSTON, BRAINTREE - James Lawrence Crowe, 79 years old, passed away surrounded by his family, on June 8th, 2018.  He was born on March 22, 1939 to the late Dennis Crowe and his late wife, Helen Bradley Crowe. Jim graduated from South Boston High School.   He later graduated from Boston State College with a degree in History.  He worked for much of his professional career as a Probation Officer at the Dorchester Court.  He was married to Patricia for 38 years.  He was raised in South Boston and loved playing basketball in college.  Later he refereed basketball games across the South Shore.  He leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia, and their sons Dennis, and his wife Courtney, of Canton, and David and his wife Shannon, of Braintree.  Jim has four beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, Hannah and James.  As well he leaves his sister Patricia Crowe of Wilmington, VA.  Visiting hours will be held at the Russell - Mortimer N. Peck Funeral Homes, 516 Washington St. Braintree, on Wednesday, June 13th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, to be followed by a Catholic Prayer Service from 1:15 PM to 1:45 P.M. followed by a graveside service at 2:15, at the Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West St. in Braintree.  Donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of South Boston, 230 West 6th Street, South Boston, MA 02127.
