Georgette J. (DuBois) Elliott, 85, of Whitman formerly of Weymouth passed away at her home on Wednesday November 1, 2017 after a long illness. Georgette was born in Boston and raised in Quincy, she was a 1950 graduate of Quincy High School. She had been an office employee of the Mason Neilen Co. of Dorchester and had also worked for the Abrasive Products Co before going to work as a para professional for the Braintree School System for twenty five years. During her years as a para professional she had worked in almost all of the Braintree Schools. Georgette enjoyed her time spent in Dennis Port on Cape Cod where she and her husband spent many years in their summer home. She was also a world traveler. After her husband Richard’s death, Georgette volunteered at the Colony House Nursing Home in Abington for several years. Georgette was a wonderful, caring and loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard H. Elliott who passed away in 2011. She is the loving mother of Richard H. Elliott, Jr. and his wife Mary of Sandwich, Cynthia Grillon and her husband Michael of Covington, Virginia, and Lisa Harter, with whom she made her home and was able to stay in her own home due to Lisa’s loving care. She is the proud Grandmother of Richard H. Elliott III, Lindsey Elliott, Rebecca Grillon, Justin Grillon and Paul J. Hastings. She is also sister of the late Rena Hagen, Alfred DuBois, Jr. and Edward DuBois. Visiting Hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be private at a later date.
