Dorothy Ann (Colligan) Grugan

BRAINTREE - Dorothy Ann Grugan, 93, of Braintree passed away peacefully on November 26th, 2018.  She was the daughter of James Colligan and his wife Bertha (Ryan) Colligan of Quincy.  She was a graduate of Quincy High School.  Dorothy was married to the late John J. Grugan.  Dorothy was a receptionist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Social Services Department and had retired from it around 1999.  She loved vacationing in Florida and her dream vacation in Hawaii.  She went on two cruises, one to the Caribbean and the other cruise to Bermuda.  She loved her family.  She leaves behind her sons John J. Grugan Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Braintree, and Paul Grugan and his wife JoAnn of Happy Valley Oregon.  She leaves behind her beloved daughters, Kathleen Cockshaw and her husband Arthur of Byrdstown, TN and Jeanne McCormick and her husband Michael of Abington, MA, and Amy Grugan of Braintree.  She also leaves behind, Thomas Colligan and his wife Yvonne of Braintree.    She also leaves behind, 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  Donations in her memory may be made to the Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370. Visiting hours are 4 to 8 PM Sunday, December 2nd, 2018 at the Braintree Peck Funeral Homes 516 Washington St. Braintree.  A funeral gathering will be on Monday December 3rd from 8:45 AM to 10:15 AM at the funeral home.  A funeral Mass will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Church 851 Washington St. Braintree at 10:30 AM, with a graveside service at 11:45 AM at the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
