MALDEN- Dorothy M. (Londergan) Aleo, 82 years of age, passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital on Sunday, June 18, 2017. She was born in Boston and graduated from St. Joseph’s Grammar and High School in Roxbury. She had lived in Malden for 43 years prior to moving to Braintree in 2016. Dorothy worked for several jewelers in Boston as a bookkeeper. She is survived by her brothers Gene Londergan of Dedham and Richard S. Londergan of Boston. Dorothy was the sister of the late Joseph “Buddy” Londergan, Shirley Stone, Frances Noonan, Mary McDonald, and Helen Wegeler. She was the longtime companion of Chadwin Georgio of Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Thursday, June 22nd from 4-8pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Friday, June 23rd at 9:30am to be followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree, at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Mt. Benedict Cemetery, Boston. Memorial donations in Dorothy’s memory may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
