Braintree- Diane L. (Ernst) Wick-Catrambone, 67, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday morning, September 16, 2017. Diane was born in Weymouth and was a Rockland resident before moving to Braintree 30 years ago. Diane worked for NYNEX local IBEW #2222 for many years before retiring in 1995. Known to her family and friends as the “Queen” she was classy and sassy, full of life and fun, she loved life’s adventures from traveling the world to white water rafting 188 miles down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon and going up in hot air balloons in Australia. There was always excitement wherever Diane went. She enjoyed the great outdoors by skiing, kayaking, golfing and biking. Casinos from Foxwoods to Atlantic City and Las Vegas were some of her favorite haunts. A car enthusiast, Diane was a member of the Bay State Antique Auto Club of Dedham. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Flying Cashiers. Diane was the best daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She created many wonderful and fun memories that will never be forgotten and she will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Diane was the wife of the late O. John Catrambone who passed away in 2007.  Diane is survived by her loving and devoted twin sister Donna Wagner of Weymouth and her loving brother Robert Ernst, Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Rockland. She was the proud aunt of Laurie Wagner-Tower and her husband Robert of Pembroke and Plymouth, Michelle Wagner-Gillis and her husband Jeff of Kingston and Dierdre Ernst and her fiancé Aaron Caulfield of Hanover. Diane is also the Great Auntie of Alec Gillis, Isabella Tower, Kyra Ernst and Kellan Caulfield. She is also survived by one uncle and six aunts and she was the companion of Leonard MacDonald. Visiting hours for Diane will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Thursday morning September 21st, 2017 from 11:00 am to 2:00pm to be followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 2:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.  Per Diane’s request, rather than flowers donations in her memory may be sent to the Dana Farber Cancer Center, 101 Columbian Street, So. Weymouth, MA 02190.
