BRAINTREE – Debra A. (Solimini) Mahar, 63, of Braintree, passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside, on Friday, April 6th, 2018, after a brief illness. Debra was born in Weymouth and graduated from the Braintree High School in 1973. She was a bank teller for the Quincy Credit Union, 519 Columbian Street in Weymouth. Debra loved her family dearly and enjoyed going with them to Disney World in Florida, as well as taking cruises with them to Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Aruba, and on the Southern Caribbean Tour. Debra, was the beloved wife of Thomas E. Mahar, a U.S. Navy Veteran. Debra is the loving Mother of her sons, Thomas Mahar, Jr. of Braintree; Eric Mahar of Braintree and her daughter, Tanya Holland Mahar, also of Braintree. Debra also leaves behind her sisters, Mary and her husband Don Herbert of Marshfield; Jo-Anne and her husband, Richard, of Braintree; her sister Julie and her husband, Greg Donovan, of Holbrook. As well, she leaves behind her seven beloved grandchildren. Debra will be reposing at the Russell – Mortimer N. Peck Funeral Homes, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Thursday, April 12th, 2018, with visiting hours from 3 to 7 PM. A procession to the Church will take place from the Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree at 10 AM on Friday, April 13th. A Funeral Mass will follow at the Church of St. Clare, 1244 Liberty St. Braintree at 11:30 AM. The burial will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street, at 12:45 PM.
