BRAINTREE - Antoinette M. (Ann) Forte Tarallo passed away on July 15th at the age of 96, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved daughter of the late Ernesto and Anna Forte, dear sister of the late Thomas Forte and Elizabeth Galizia. Beloved wife of 53 years to the late Joseph L., survived by her son, Ronald and his wife Marie, daughter Laura, granddaughter Candace Tarallo and her long-time boyfriend, John MacNaughton, granddaughter Lyndsey Tarallo, grandson Anthony, his fiancée Nora Zahri and great-granddaughter Penelope Tarallo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was born in N.Y.C., attended Saint Luke’s Elementary school, Julia Richmond High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude from CCN.Y, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was the former office manager of Superior Fire Proofing N.Y.C. She retired from the Braintree school system after 17 years, and also worked for Weight Watchers until the age of 85. Mrs. Tarallo was among the first volunteers at the Diane DeVanna Center. She was a Camp Fire Girls leader and Chairwoman of the candy drive for several years. She helped run the concession stand for the South Braintree Little League. She was the former Women's Auxiliary President for both the Braintree Babe Ruth Baseball and Braintree Pop Warner Football. She ran the concession stands and worked many fundraisers. Ann was a strong, compassionate woman with a big heart who loved her family deeply and passionately donated too many charities. She was a beautiful and gentle spirit who touched the lives of all who were blessed to know her. The visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Homes, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Thursday July 20th at 4 to 7 PM. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Friday, July 21st at 9:00am to be followed by a Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Clare. 1144 Liberty Street, at 10 AM. Burial will be at the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diane DeVanna Center, 74 Pond Street, Braintree, MA 02184.
