Alda lived entirely for her family. Married 24 years, she was the devoted wife of Stafford H. until his passing in 1998. She gracefully loved her late stepson, Stafford D. until his passing in 2012. After marriage, she worked evenings at Sears Roebuck to spend more time with family during the day. She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother, Sunday School Teacher, Past President of the South Shore DeMolay Mother’s Club in Weymouth, and a proud member of the Citizen’s Police Academy in Braintree. She enjoyed reading, particularly anything involving the Winter Hill Gang, Queen Elizabeth II, or Harry Potter. She also loved painting and drawing. And she had fond memories for Prince Edward Island and the Harrison Mountain Homestead in New Brunswick, Canada.
