Richard Gorrill

Richard L Gorrill, 68 of Braintree, passed away on January 9th 2024, with his loving family by his side.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Donna; and children Rick Gorrill of Abington, Andrew Gorrill and his wife Amanda of Florida and Jonathan Gorrill and his wife Katie of West Bridgewater. His 3 grandchildren who he absolutely adored Trevor, Lilly and Noah. Loving son of the late Lorne and Phyllis Gorrill. Also, survived by his Brother Edward of Florida, his sister Nancy Snell and her husband Mark of Rockland, his sister Pam Wall and her husband Bob of Weymouth and brother Charles of Tennessee. As well as several nieces and nephews.

He was born in Brockton on January 16th 1955. Richard graduated from Hanover High School class of 1974.
In his early years was an Olympic high jumper. Also in his early years, he worked at Fetco and  Sigma. He then managed McDonald’s in South Braintree square for many years, where he became an absolute legend. He was the most popular man in South Braintree square for all those years. Unfortunately, illness sent him into early retirement. During retirement life you could find him sitting on the porch or outside hanging with his galpals watching traffic and relaxing. Richard will be remembered and missed by many friends and family.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, January 15 from 4-8 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 7:00 P.M. at the Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St. Braintree,MA.
