Mary Elizabeth Allison, known to all as Betty passed away peacefully on April 13. 2024 as the age of 99. Born in Milton, MA on September 26, 1924 the daughter of Albert and Eva Allison. She was a graduate of Milton High School. For the past 40 years, she resided with her nephew Walter M. Campbell Jr., his wife Cindy, and their children, Olivia, Walter III, and Connor Campbell, in the cherished family home in Braintree, where she had once lived with her parents, Eva and Albert Allison. In her life time Betty lived through the Great Depression and World War II, facing adversity with courage and resilience. She worked for the State Employees Credit Union for 30+ years as treasurer, a position most women did not hold. Despite the challenges she encountered, her spirit remained unbroken, and she found joy in the simple moments shared with her family and friends. She is survived by Nephews, Walter (Cindy) Campbell, William (Mary) Campbell, Jay (Carol) McGilvray, Richard (Patricia) McGilvray and Nieces Bette McGilvray Kathleen McGilvray Baltz, Marjorie (John) Galleher, Patricia (Christopher) McCarty, Jean LaVoy and Allison (James) Ager as well as 8 Great Nieces and Nephews and 4 Great, Great Nephews. Betty was predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Edith (John) Erickson, Barbara (Walter) Campbell, and Marjorie (Robert) McGilvray and Her Nephew Robert McGilvray (Marie) and Niece Linda Erickson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20 th From 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Mortimer N. Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St. Braintree. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 at the Funeral Home.
