Kathleen Porter Obituary

Kathleen H. Porter (Kathy) passed away suddenly April 6, 2024, in Boston. She was the beloved daughter of Mary Taglieri Porter, and Arthur J. Porter, both deceased. She is survived by her three sisters, Jacquelin Maskell and her husband Cliff of Hanson, Elizabeth Porter of Dorchester, and Mary Ellen Porter of Hanson. Kathy was a stepsister to Mark, Richard, and Kelly Sullivan of Dorchester, and is survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kathy was a stepmother to Amber and Caitlyn Hynes, and her favorite person in the world, was Amber’s son, Brayden, whom she helped raise and who lovingly called her Nana.

A native of Braintree, Kathy graduated from Braintree High School in 1992. She went on to work for a startup communications company. Kathy most enjoyed having adventures with Brayden, summers at Cape Cod, and spending time with her many lifelong friends, who will always cherish their wonderful memories with her.

Kathy was very quick-witted, full of energy, and a devoted friend to many. Her smile and laughter will be sadly missed by all.  Visitation hours at the Braintree Peck Funeral Chapels 516 Washington St. in Braintree on Friday 3 to 5 PM.
