Quincy – Virginia (Littlewood) Palma, 91 years of age, passed away at the John Adams Healthcare Center in Quincy on Friday, July 28, 2017. Born in 1925, she was the daughter of William and Cora Jane (Roderick) Littlewood. She was born in Quincy, educated in Quincy schools, graduating from Quincy High School. Virginia moved to Weymouth 20 years ago. Virginia was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph and her son John F. Palma. Sister of the late Louise Fuqua, Doris Violette, and William Littlewood. Virginia was the loving mother of Sheila M. Palma of Weymouth. Mother-in-law of Linda Palma of Mansfield. She was the proud grandmother of Daniel Palma and his wife Melanie of Framingham, and Laura Eggert and her husband Paul of Bridgewater, N.J. She was the loving great-grams to Darren, Paige, Sydney, Juliana, and Ella. She worked for Commercial Union Insurance Company in North Quincy before retiring in the 1990s. Virginia loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always doing and caring for others. In her memory the family would like you to perform a random act of kindness. Her family would like to thank the staff at the John Adams Healthcare Center and Compassionate Care for the loving care that they showed Virginia. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 870 Broad Street (opposite the US Post Office in Jackson Square) East Weymouth on Friday, August 4th from 11:00am-1:00pm. A Funeral Service will follow the visiting hours at the funeral home at 1:00pm. The Rev. Father Thomas P. Mulvey, Jr., Rector of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Braintree.
