BRAINTREE- Ruth Louise (Talbot) Hogan, 92 years of age, of Independence Manor, Braintree, entered Life Eternal at the Marian Manor in South Boston on Tuesday, October 18 2016. She was born in Rutland, Vermont and she had lived in Braintree for more than 20 years formerly having lived in Hyde Park. She was the wife of the late Edward J Hogan. She was the loving mother of Sheila McCarthy married to Daniel McCarthy of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, Edward J. Hogan Jr. and fiancé Bonnie Lynch Gallo of Worcester, Patricia Hamlett married to William Hamlett of Methuen, Mary Baumgardt married to James Baumgardt of Redmond, Washington, and William Hogan of South Carolina. She was the mother of the late Richard Hogan. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Ruth loved to bowl and dance. She enjoyed dining out at Scarlet Oak in Hingham and at Legal Seafood restaurants. There will be a Catholic Prayer Service on Saturday, October 22nd at 11:00am at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree. Visiting hour will be from 9:30 until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Memorial donations may be sent to the Marian Manor, 130 Dorchester Street, South Boston, MA 02127.
