At 91 years of age, Ronald of Braintree, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 3rd 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn (Beers) Hardy, his daughter, Sherilyn Tristaino and her husband Dominic of Plympton, and his son Ronald K. Hardy and his wife Anne of Plymouth. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew. Ronald graduated from Natick High School and went on to graduate from Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was involved with the Rocket Program at Wentworth Institute which was affiliated with the Department of Defense. He was then recruited by IBM for whom he worked for 40 years prior to his retirement in 1986. He continued with IBM as a consultant for the next seven years. He served in the US Navy in both WWII and Korea. He served in the submarine division in the South Pacific during WWII and on a training ship during the Korean War. Ronald was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Braintree and also the South Braintree Little League. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Monday, August 8th from 4-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Braintree, 594 Washington Street on Tuesday, August 9th at 11:00am. Burial will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
