WEYMOUTH – Richard S. Jensen, 65 years of age passed away at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston on Friday, February 9, 2018. Richard was born in Quincy and raised in Weymouth. He was a graduate of Weymouth Vocational Technical High School and after graduation he served on their board. He was former owner of South Shore Repair. He was a printing press repairman. Richard was a member of the Weymouth Lodge of Elks. He was a member of The First Church of Weymouth and was a former deacon of the Union Congregational Church of Weymouth and Braintree. He was a former Boy Scout Leader. Some of Richard’s passions include Auto Racing, anything to do with outer space, photography, being an outdoorsman and his favorite pastime was fishing. Richard was well known for his vast volunteer work throughout Weymouth and the South Shore. Son of the late Stanley A. Jensen and Margaret A. “Peg” (Walters) Jensen. He is survived by two sons Scott Jensen of Weymouth and Christopher Jensen of Abington. He was the brother of John Jensen of California, David Jensen of Virginia, Marcia Burkard of Abington, Debbie Petrucci of Weymouth and the late Donald and Paul Jensen. Richard is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours for Richard will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree, MA on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 10:00am – 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the First Church in Weymouth, 17 Church Street, Weymouth Heights on Thursday February 15th at 5:00 pm. Burial will be private at a later date.
