BRAINTREE- Patrick J. Kennedy, 86 years of age, passed away at his home in Weymouth after a brief illness on Friday, August 5, 2016. He was born in South Boston and attended Boston Schools. He was a Vietnam Era Air Force veteran. Patrick had worked as an engineer for the Stone and Webster Company in Boston, retiring 20 years ago. He was an active member in the Randolph AmVets. He is the beloved husband of Ann (Taylor) Gleeson and the late Nora Frances Kennedy who died in 2007. He is the beloved brother of Catherine Keller and Winnie Coleman both of South Boston. He was the brother of the late Mary Hodges formerly of South Boston and the son of the late Patrick and Mary (Gibbons) Kennedy. He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was a very close friend of Lisa Moore and her husband David Moore and their two children D.J. and Danielle of Stoneham. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Wednesday, August 10th from 10:00am – 12 Noon to be followed by a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 12 Noon.
