BRAINTREE-   Marjorie F. (Rooney) McCallum, 90, Marjorie died peacefully on Wednesday October 4, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Marjorie was born in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1944. She also attended Boston University taking evening classes. Marjorie moved to Braintree in 1954. She was a loyal member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church for the last 61 years where she did extensive volunteering for many different church activities and committees. In her later years she loved studying Spanish and was a lifelong Red Sox fan. Marjorie will be remembered by her family and many friends for her kindness, generosity, sense of humor and intelligence. Marjorie was the beloved wife of the late Clifford W. McCallum who died in 1990. She is the loving mother of Kenneth McCallum and his late wife Mary (Andriotti) of Mexico, Maine, Janice McCallum of Braintree, Nancy MacDonald and her husband Michael of Plantation, Florida. She is also survived by her daughter- in- law Maria (Forte) McCallum.  Marjorie is the devoted and loving Grandmother of Matthew McCallum of Weymouth, Alex McCallum and his wife Wendy McCallum M.D. of Roslindale, Michael MacDonald, Jr. of Pompano Beach, Florida and Lisa Bosse and her husband Kirk of Plantation, Florida. Marjorie is the proud great grandmother of 6. Visiting hours for Marjorie will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will follow the visiting hours at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Reverend Father Thomas Mulvey, Jr. Rector of Emmanuel Parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree.  Memorial donations in Marjorie’s memory may be sent to The Jimmy Fund, P.O. BOX 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 or to the donors preferred charity.
