BRAINTREE formerly of WEYMOUTH- Marilyn Amy Plum, 87 years old, passed away peacefully, on August 16th at the Royal Rehabilitation Facility in Braintree.  She was raised in Belgrade Maine, where she was a graduate of Belgrade High School.  Formerly she was married to James Plum.  She worked as a nanny and loved taking care of children.  She went to church in Belgrade, ME at the Old South Church.  She later moved to Quincy, MA and after that she moved in 1960 to Weymouth.  She was a long-time member of the East Weymouth Congregational Church.  She also was a Thursday night patron of Immaculate Church's Bingo.  As well Marilyn loved to travel extensively and had gone to Mexico, New Orleans, Florida, the Carolinas, the U.S. Southwest and to Maine and to California.  She was an avid Soap Opera fan.  She loved animals especially her cat, Sassy.  She leaves behind her sons, Jeffrey Plum of Weymouth and Timothy Grant Plum of Duncan, South Carolina.  She also leaves behind her sister, Barbara York of Belgrade, ME.  A full Christian burial service will take place at the Fairmount Cemetery on Cedar Street, East Weymouth, on Monday, August 21st at 11:00AM.  Arrangements are by the Peck Funeral Homes, Russell Peck, Jr., Director at 870 Broad Street, Weymouth, MA.  In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the following Alzheimer’s Association and to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
