BRAINTREE- Jeanne Couillard, 86 years of age, passed away at Sunrise at Gardener Park in Peabody on Sunday, June 4, 2017. She was born in Boston and was a Quincy Resident, graduating from Quincy High School Class of 1948. Right after high school, Jeanne worked for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston. She worked as a secretary, moving up to the Executive position of Corporate Secretary. She retired in July 1995 at 65 years old. She was a member of the Quincy United Methodist Church in Wollaston. Jeanne was in the Sigma Phi group at the church. She had been a Braintree resident since 1950, having been a member of the East Braintree Civic Association. She loved animals and will be missed as the wonderful aunt. Jeanne was the sister of the late Paul Allan Couillard, who was the husband of Pauline C. Couillard of Danvers. Jeanne was the loving aunt to Paula Smith of Rindge, N.H., Nancy Gaffney married to Frank of Danvers, and William Couillard of Salem, N.H. She was the proud grand aunt to Shauna Powers married to Jay of Somerville, Brenna Gaffney of Roslindale, and Christopher Gaffney and his fiancé Robin Allaire of Danvers. Jeanne was also the great aunt to Jackson Powers of Somerville. Visiting hour will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Friday, June 9th from 11:00am – 12 Noon. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
