Geraldine McCleary, of Rockland. It is with great sadness that the family of Geraldine “Jerry” (Bibeault) McCleary announces her passing after a long illness on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the age of 86.  She was the wife of the late James S. McCleary and loving mother to son George McCleary and wife Erika of Rockland, son James Dennis McCleary and wife Kathleen of Abington, grandson Dennis and wife Courtney of Abington, grandson Michael and wife Armanda of Abington, granddaughter Katherine Panock and husband Craig of Bridgewater and much adored great-grandmother of six.  She is survived by her sister, Doris Keefe of Weymouth.  She is the sister to the late Loretta Monroe, William Dalton, George Bibeault and Phyllis MacNeil.  Jerry was born and raised in Roxbury and raised her family in Braintree before moving to Rockland.  She worked many years at Electro Switch in Weymouth and was a long time member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Braintree.  Jerry enjoyed cooking, trips to Las Vegas and local casinos and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan but her passion was her large family and many friends.  There will be a gathering at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home located at 516 Washington Street in Braintree at 9:00 am on Wednesday January 24, 2018 which will be followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, South Braintree Square at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Braintree Cemetery.  Charitable donations may be made in Geraldine’s memory may be sent to The Home for Little Wanderers, 10 Guest Street, Boston MA. 02135 or to the American Heart Association, 300 Fifth Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750.
