Braintree – George Chopourian 82 years of age passed away peacefully at the Seasons Hospice in Milton on October 8, 2017.  He was born in Boston and had been a longtime resident of Braintree. George was a retired security officer for Draper Labs in Cambridge. He attended Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was a Past President of the Dance Teachers Club of Boston American Society. He was an audio technician and a musical equipment repairman.  George belonged to the Delta Lodge of Masons in Braintree. He was the husband of the late Helen M. (Luoma) Chopourian. He was the beloved father of David Alan Chopourian and his girlfriend Diane Wall of Holbrook, Susan Ellen Chopourian married to Jayce Chopourian of Braintree. He was the grandfather of Matthew David Cole and his girlfriend Kaitlyn Fano of Holbrook. C.J. Palmer of Quincy and Tyler David Palmer of Quincy. Great grandfather of Benjamin Matthew Cole. George is survived by his brother David Alan Chopourian and his wife Roxanne of Billerica. George was the longtime companion of Cathie Harper.  Visiting hours at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St., Braintree on Tuesday October 17th from 4 to 8 PM. Funeral service will be private.
