BRAINTREE- Esther Elaine Arra, 88 years of age, passed away at the Milton Hospital on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. She was born in North Easton and graduated from North Easton High School. She then went on the graduate from Boston University. She subsequently began her career as a medical secretary in Boston and later was an insurance claims secretary for Norfield Association in Braintree. She was a member of All Souls Church in Braintree. She was the wife of the late George Warren Arra who died in 2005. She was the loving mother to George A. Arra married to Laurel Arra of Kingston. She was the devoted grandmother of Ariel Michelle Arra, Jennifer Catherine Arra and Kirsten Elizabeth Arra all of Kingston. She was the great grandmother of Shealyn Pratt of Kingston. She is also survived by a nephew Richard Halvarson of South Dartmouth.  She was the sister of the late Richard Halvarson Sr. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Thursday, September 1st from 11:00am-1:00pm to be followed by a procession to the Village Cemetery in North Easton.
