KINGSTON- Estella (Dicks) Tempesta, 88 years of age, formerly of Quincy, passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth Hospital (Jordan) on Thursday March 9th, 2017. She was born in Boston.  Estella loved her church and family, played the organ, and loved writing and did crafting.  She was educated in Boston Schools.  She worked as a secretary for Fairfield and Ellis as well as for Sunlife Insurance and for the Flatley Group of Companies.  She was very devoted to her family. Estella was the wife of the late Teofilo P. Tempesta formerly of Quincy.  She was the devoted mother of Peter G. Tempesta and Jan Benson of Nashua, N.H., Paul W. Tempesta and his late wife Susan Tempesta of Quincy, and Diane I. (Tempesta) Johnson and her husband Philip Johnson of Braintree.  She also leaves behind her brothers Earl Dicks of Norton, Frank Dicks of Florida, Gerald Dicks of Mendon, and Edna Foster of Florida. Estella was the proud grandmother of 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Estella was also the friend of the late Albert Bradley. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street in Braintree, on Sunday March 19th from 2 to 7 PM. There will be Funeral Service at funeral home on Monday, March 20th at 10 AM. Pastor Jeremy Garber of the First Baptist Church of Weymouth, will officiate. Burial to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
