WEYMOUTH- Derelyn H. (Gillis) Pontonio, 68 years of age, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at her home in Weymouth. She was born in Quincy and was a graduate of Weymouth North High School Class of 1966. Derelyn was known as the woman who took care of anyone in need. She is the beloved mother of Lisa D. Carlevale married to John of Abington. She is survived by her two boys Patrick and Brian Cady both of Weymouth She was the devoted grandmother Ryder P. Carlevale. Derelyn was the daughter of the late Stanley Gillis and Dorothy Ramsey Gillis. She is survived by her brother Jack Gillis of Ayer and Barry Gillis married to Kathy of Weymouth, and the late Brian Gillis formerly of Weymouth. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews A Private Service will be held at a later date.
