BRAINTREE - Arlene “Cally” Callahan 60 years of age of South Braintree entered Life Eternal on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. She was born in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School. She had lived in Braintree for 30 years. Cally was an avid Red Sox fan and Bruins fan. She very much enjoyed family gatherings and especially enjoyed lunch with her mother. She was known for her devotion to the Catholic Faith.

Cally was the devoted daughter of June (Maguire) (Callahan) McLean of Braintree. and was the daughter of the late Albert J. Callahan. She was the Cherished sister of Mary Ellen Gushue married to James Gushue of South Weymouth, June Kabachus married to John Kabachus of South Weymouth, Daniel J. Callahan and his fiancé Patricia Russell of Weymouth, Shawn A. Callahan married to Patricia Callahan of Norwell and Michael M. McLean and his girlfriend Nancy Martell of Braintree. Cally was the sister of the late Kathleen Dwyer who is survived by Mark J. Dwyer of Abington. She also leaves many nephews, nieces and cousins including Gerald and Carol McLean of Braintree and Kathleen and Jack O’Leary of Quincy. Cally is survived by her beloved pet dog Ginger, a German Shepherd.

Visiting hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street Braintree on Monday, February 25th from 4:00-8:00pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 26th at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, South Braintree Square at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
