Braintree – Anthony Paul Carmosino, 73 years of age, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Brockton Veterans’ Administration Hospital. He was born in East Boston and graduated from the Revere High School. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps from l956 to 1958. He graduated from the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, England. He opened and operated Salon 500 in Quincy in 1967 and continued the operation of the salon with his wife until 2007. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Anthony has resided in Braintree for the past twelve years and was formerly of Cohasset. He spent summers at his home in Bourne. He enjoyed painting landscapes in oil paints. He is survived by his beloved wife Genevieve P. (Frank) Carmosino. He was the devoted father of Toni Ann Carmosino, R.N. of Hackettstown, N.J. and the loving grandfather of Shawn Stone and Kyle Stone both of Hackettstown, N.J. Anthony is survived by his brother Steven Carmosino of Texas. He was the brother of the late Ronald Carmosino. He was a close friend of Angelo and Maura DiBartolomeo of Hingham. Visiting hours will be at the Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Thursday, January 31st from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. A Catholic Prayer Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Memorial donations may be sent to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute for Multiple Myeloma Research, Post Office Box 849168, Boston, MA. 022084.
