BRAINTREE - Amy D. (Brown) Davidson Moore, 79 years of age, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. She was born in Weymouth and was a lifelong resident of Braintree. Amy was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1957. She then worked as an insurance claims adjustor for several major insurance companies, retiring 20 years ago. Amy was a longtime volunteer for the SHINE organization. She was an avid reader, animal lover, and enjoyed spending time in Cocoa Beach, FL. After her retirement, she spent her time traveling, shopping, and enjoying fine dining with her friends, including Marianne Habershaw of Vero Beach, FL and Pat Clark of Braintree. Amy was the wife of the late Robert H. Davidson and the late Harry A. Moore. She was the loving mother of Andrew R. Davidson and his partner Diane M. Lapine of Hudson, N.H. and Gloucester, and the late Tracy H. Davidson. She was the sister-in-law to Marilyn Brown who was wife of the late Richard B. Brown III. Amy is also survived by her brother-in-law Brian Davidson of Cocoa Beach, FL., and by her nieces and nephews; Kathy Brown and Teresa Proctor both of Medway, Russell Brown of Denham Springs, Louisiana, and Carl Brown of Jackson, Wyoming. Amy is also survived by two grand-nephews Douglas and Thomas Proctor. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Tuesday, March 28th from 4-8pm. There will be a Funeral Service at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 29th at 11:00am. The Reverend Michael Frady, Pastor of the First Congregational Church in Braintree will officiate. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
