Weymouth – Alan Lewis MacNeil, Jr., age 59, of Weymouth died on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Alan was born in Weymouth and received his education there. He was married to his wife, Diana for 41 years. Alan owned his own commercial cleaning company for many years, retiring 7 years ago due to his disability. Alan was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family. Alan is survived by his wife, Diana Marie (Kelleher) MacNeil. He is the devoted father to Alan Joseph MacNeil and was the father of the late Nicole MacNeil who passed away in 2003. He is the proud grandfather of Kayla E. MacNeil and Sean M. MacNeil. He is the loving brother of Robin Bailey of Whitman, Bobby MacNeil of Weymouth and Darlene MacNeil-Robbins. He was the brother of the late Judy Ann MacNeil. There will be Memorial visiting hours at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 870 Broad Street (across from the US Post Office in Jackson Square), East Weymouth on Thursday, August 10th, 2017 from 6:00-7:30 pm. A blessing will be conducted by Reverend Ted MacNeil at 7:30 pm. Burial will be private. The family sincerely requests that rather than flowers donations may be made to the Go Fund Me page that has been established for Alan.
